Concessionary bus passes

The concessionary bus fare scheme offers free travel to older people and those with certain disabilities. We allow free travel to passholders of the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme on our services. These passes bear a small rose in the top-left corner.

Once you have got your pass, you can jump on and off buses as much as you like – a quick pop to the shops or a day out on the coast or through the New Forest.

Concessionary bus passes are valid between 0930 and 2300 on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Those with a pass issued in Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch bearing the 'all day' symbol can also travel outside of these times.

Passholders with cards bearing a Companion (C+) logo can also travel with a companion at no extra cost.

Wiltshire residents

If you are a permanent resident of Wiltshire and are eligible, you can apply for a bus pass through Wiltshire Council. Due to the infrequent nature of services in rural parts of Wiltshire, some buses can be used before 0930 and the council provides a list of these exempt services. Sadly, concessionary bus passes are not valid on the Stonehenge Tour.

Hampshire residents

If you live in the New Forest District Council, Test Valley Borough Council or Hampshire County Council area, and are eligible, you can apply for a bus pass through Hampshire County Council.

If a community has a bus between 9am and 9.29am and no further departure before 10.31, older persons passes will be valid on that specific service. Hampshire County Council provides a list of these exempt services.
