Agron Metalia named morebus Employee of the Year

Morebus driver Agron Metalia is celebrating this week after being named employee of the year.

We have received many commendations for Agron with customers holding him in high regard. He was presented with his award by managing director, Andrew Wickham, at our annual awards ceremony, 'A Night With The Stars'.

“Agron is among the most professional drivers we have here at Morebus,” said Andrew.

“He was nominated for this award by a customer who was lucky enough to be travelling on his bus. The passenger was a stroke victim who was taking the bus for the first time since their attack. Agron’s courtesy and care instantly put the passenger at ease - and we later learned that this experience was a big step in their rehabilitation.

“This demonstrates there is much more to the role of a Morebus driver than simply getting behind the wheel. Customer service is incredibly important to us.

“I am delighted for Agron. He is hugely popular among his colleagues and I would like to congratulate him on this achievement - whilst wishing him a successful year ahead.”

In recognition of his efforts, Agron received £500 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.
