Bus stop changes in central Bournemouth from 23 May

From Saturday 23 May 2026, due to major works by BCP Council to improve bus journeys and waiting facilities Gervis Place bus stops will be closed for approximately eight months. The main section of Gervis Place from the pedestrian crossing to the junction with Westover Road will be closed. Government funding is being used to transform the area with:-

• A new priority route for buses
• Reconstruction of the uneven road surface (due to subsidence)
• Widened footways with raised kerbs for easy access onto the bus
• New larger shelters with seating
• Improved Real Time Information displays and CCTV
• New crossing points

During this time, you will need to use the alternative bus stops, marked on the map and listed in the table below: 

From 6 May, we will also have leaflets available with a map and a list.  In the meantime you can download a copy here
