Celebrating International Men's Day 2025

We are celebrating International Men's Day by this year by shining a spotlight on some of the quirky hobbies, hidden talents and proud achievements that our male team members have made over the past year.
A few have come forward to share:
Joseph Lintott
He spent his life as a professional guitarist and session player before moving into bus driving and continues to play in his spare time.

Kristopher Hillman
He has been cycling for a few years, taking on tough routes and pushing himself further than he ever expected. It’s helped him get into much better shape—losing around seven stone—and has been a huge boost for his mental health. There’s something about being out on the road that clears his head.

Marco Ailano
He volunteers as an S&T technician on the Swanage Railway. This photo shows him in the Corfe Castle signal box.

Michael Bayton
He loves his RC and drone collection—it’s great for his mental health and always leads him to new and interesting places to fly.

This is also a great time to pause and think about men's mental health. Many men struggle to open up about how they're feeling but often small conversations can make a big difference. We've taken this an another chance to remind all team members about the wellbeing tools that we have on offer which provide a range of resources and support - whether you're looking for advice, someone to talk to, or ways to take care of your wellbeing.
