Christchurch Road closure from 10th - 21st March

From Thursday 10th - Monday 21st March, Christchurch Road is undergoing more resurfacing works, which means that the M2 and U3 will be affected by further diversions. There will be multiple diversions across the period:

Phase Four diversion will run from: Thursday 10th March 7am - Friday 11th 6pm and Monday 14th 6am - Tuesday 15th March.

Between 6pm on Friday 11th and 6am on Monday 14th, we will serve our normal route. Any services arriving at Pokesdown after 6pm on Friday will take the normal route until Monday morning at 6am. The 5.55am M2 from Southbourne will be the first bus that will use the diversion below which will remain in place until Tuesday.

• Towards Southbourne:
  • Buses will turn right into Crabton Close Road, Beechwood Avenue, Woodland Avenue, Parkwood Road, Woodside Road, and Southbourne Grove where buses will be able to serve the Fisherman’s Walk stop.
• Towards Bournemouth:
  • Buses will turn left after Fisherman’s Walk onto Wentworth Avenue, Beechwood Avenue, Crabton Close Road, and then return to the normal route on Christchurch Road.

Phase Five: Wednesday 16th March - Monday 21st March

• Towards Southbourne:
  • Buses will turn right into Parkwood Road, Darracott Road, Woodside Road, and on to Southbourne Grove where buses will be able to serve the Fisherman’s Walk stop.
• Towards Bournemouth:
  • Buses will turn left after Fisherman’s Walk onto Wentworth Avenue, Beechwood Avenue, Parkwood Road, and then return to the normal route on Christchurch Road.
