Step aboard the Swanage Railway this October half term and enter a world of Halloween magic with our brand-new Ghost Train experience. Running from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November 2025, this spellbinding journey promises gentle chills, big smiles, and unforgettable memories for the whole family.
Your adventure begins at Norden Station, where you'll board one of our beautifully decorated heritage steam trains, transformed for the spooky season with glowing pumpkins, cobwebs, and ghostly surprises at every turn. As the train sets off through the misty Purbeck countryside, you'll be joined by our friendly witch, who'll delight passengers young and old with spine-tingling tales and magical moments along the way.
This is Halloween fun the whole family can enjoy. Little ones will love the costumes, decorations, and theatrical storytelling, while older children can soak up the immersive atmosphere and keep an eye out for mysterious sights outside the window. Grown-ups are encouraged to join in the fun, donning their favourite Halloween costumes and enjoying the cosy, nostalgic charm of steam travel with a spooky twist.

With four departures daily (12:45, 14:15, 15:45, and 17:15), each one-hour round trip is carefully designed to capture the spirit of the season without being too scary, making it perfect for all ages.
Tickets: £22 for adults, £15 for children (under 3s travel free), and carers travel free when accompanying less abled passengers.
