Jobs for young people

Start your career with more

Are you ready to start earning, and gain a professional qualification in approximately 7 weeks?

At More bus, we’re encouraging local young people aged 18+ to consider a career in the bus industry — with full paid training provided from day one.

We already employ many younger drivers who are enjoying the benefits of earning a good wage, learning new skills and building a professional career without needing a university degree.

Earn while you train

From your very first day with us, you’ll be fully paid while training to become a professional bus driver. We’ll support you through your Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) qualification and help you learn our routes and services.

Most trainees complete their training and become fully qualified within around seven weeks — with a pay increase once qualified.

Hear from some of our young people:

Nick age 20: “I trained at college to work in hospitality and catering which I did for a while, but I didn’t get much of a social life.  I have been a bus driver for morebus now just over a year, I have more freedom and I love meeting new people.”

Chloe age 21: “I had applied for lots of jobs online and wasn’t even getting any responses, which was very disheartening, as I want to work. I was delighted when I got an interview with morebus and excited to start my career with them, working a variety of shifts”

Dominik age 20: “I had been working in a warehouse for the last two years, but I like driving and I already had customer service skills, so felt that bus driving would be a great job for me.  It’s better money too!”
