The New Forest Tour returns from Saturday 4 July!
Our open-top buses, which will run from Saturday 4 July until Sunday 13 September, offer a panoramic perspective on the area’s beautiful heathland, spectacular coast and picturesque villages - not to mention the famous wandering ponies and an abundance of other wildlife.
We offer three routes - red, green and blue - each giving a unique perspective of the New Forest, with both countryside and coast to enjoy. You can hop on and off all three routes throughout your day out on just one ticket.
Whilst on-board, passengers can hear stories of the people, places and animals of the New Forest via our audio commentary - with characters, sounds and music bringing these incredible views to life. The New Forest is blessed with an array of attractions, eateries and other hidden gems - so there is plenty to enjoy for those using our one, two or five day tickets. It’s also a great way to see the area whilst using sustainable transport - helping to reduce congestion here.
NEW for this season, the 'red route' will run in the opposite direction and has been rerouted to stop at Brockenhurst - all three routes now stop here! This gives passengers the opportunity to travel in both directions between Burley and Brockenhurst on either the blue or red route.
As well as grandstand views, the Tour is the easiest way to learn more about the Forest and how to care for it. Passengers can sit back and enjoy an audio commentary about the area’s culture and history, as well as discounts at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, the Exbury Gardens, and local businesses participating in the Go New Forest discount card scheme.
The Tour is easily accessible by train, stopping outside Brockenhurst station, which is on the main south coast rail line, and also at Lymington and Ashurst. Customers can also connect to the Tour via local bus routes - travel on these buses is free when you show your New Forest Tour tickets.
With what is hoped to be a hot and sunny summer ahead, we are expecting a large number of people to choose the New Forest as their holiday destination this year. This will be fantastic for the area’s tourism industry, and for the New Forest’s retail and hospitality businesses.
