Single fares

More Bus single fares from 1 January 2025

The Government’s £2 single fare cap is ending as of 31 December 2024.  The new single fare cap will be £3.

Good News! Some single fares will be less than £3.

m1/m2

On our m1/m2 routes the new single adult fare will be just £2.50.  Adult returns are no longer required, as our Dayrider price will be reduced to £4.50 giving you unlimited travel on the m1m2 in any one day.  The m1/m2 Dayrider will only be available via our app or by using tap on tap off with your contactless bank card.

Paper m1/m2 Dayrider tickets are no longer available – if you do want a paper ticket you will be able to buy a paper return at £4.50 but we would encourage you to switch to the app or tap on tap off which will offer you better value via a Dayrider.  If you need to buy a zone A Dayrider  it will cost £5.20 – you can pay cash or use a contactless bank card.

We know the m1 and m2 get very busy, so you can continue to use your m1/m2 ticket on our other services that run along the same parts of the route - as an example the 1a/1b/1c between Bournemouth, Boscombe and Southbourne and the 5/5a between Bournemouth and Charminster

Child singles will be £2 and child returns are £3 and a child Dayrider is £3.40.

Zone A

Adult single fares will be either: £2.20, £2.40, £2.70 or £3.00 depending on how far you travel.

Most routes will no longer have a return fare, apart from very short hop returns, which are still available from the driver. For customers who make more than one journey in a day, it will be best to buy a zone A Dayrider at £5 via our app or tap on tap off.  A paper Dayrider it will cost £5.20.

If you travel regularly there are more savings to be made with our period passes, as bus travel can cost less than your daily coffee, a 30-day zone A ticket can offer unlimited travel from less than £2.40 per day! – check out full details.

If you want to buy single trips in bulk, you can save with our multi-trips for zone A – these are only available via the app and they are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.  Just activate one single trip each time you travel.

10 trips - £23.50

20 trips - £45.00

30 trips - £61.50

Zone AB and ABC

In our other fare zones, Zone AB and Zone ABC, single fares will range from £2.40 to £3. Returns will still be available, and the maximum cost of a return is £6.

For regular travellers you may want to consider our period passes or multi-day bundles
