A FREE community festival aimed at young people and families returns to Dorset this summer following last year's successful launch.

Spring Arts Fest 2019 will take place on the 1st June from 12pm to 7pm at Kings Park, Kings Park Drive near Bournemouth Indoor Bowls. There will be around 35 traders, live performances, arts and crafts, mascot appearances, face painting, a mini funfair, plus food and refreshments.

The event has been organised by 19-year-old Rob Batson who said: “We are excited to bring back our small festival for the second year with the great success of our first event which took place at Branksome Recreational Ground, Poole. With the aim of bringing young people, families and the community together, our line up does just that - over 35 different traders, free live entertainment programme of local artists, mini fun fair, mascot appearances with children’s favourite Marshal (from Paw Patrol), live demonstrations and classes and more across the festival site."

He added: "This year we are excited to be partnering with local bus company and UK bus operator of the year for two years running, morebus, and The Absolute Music Trust. We are also supporting Amelia’s Rainbow, our event charity and local children’s charity. Spring Arts Fest 2019 is brought by Coast Print & Design and Rainbow Arts Dorset CIC."
