Swanage Carnival returns from Saturday 25 July to Saturday 1 August 2026, bringing eight days of family-friendly entertainment, live performances and traditional seaside celebration to the Dorset coast.
One of the south coast’s most popular summer events, the carnival features a varied programme of activities throughout the week, including live music, an amazing air display by Team Raven, competitions, gig racing, a fancy dress competition, showground attractions and a wide range of events on the beach and around the town.
A highlight of the week is the traditional Carnival Procession, where decorated floats, performers and local groups make their way through Swanage in a colourful 2½ mile parade.
Lets reduce congestion in the local area this year by travelling to this event by bus. Catch the Breezer 50 from Bournemouth, Breezer 40 from Poole or the Breezer 30 from Weymouth to arrive in Swanage for just a £3 single fare.
