We're gearing up for a Rock’N’Roll summer as sponsor of Shake & Stir festival

Morebus is getting ready to Rock’N’Roll this summer - as sponsor of Southbourne’s multi award-winning Shake & Stir event.

In its 10th anniversary year, the popular festival will welcome visitors of all ages to its extravaganza of vintage entertainment, traders and much more on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June.

“We’re excited to be involved in this unique music festival, which is now one of the region’s biggest and best events,” said Morebus head of communications, Nikki Honer.

“It was the gold winner for the Event of the Year Award at the DMB (Destination Management Board) Tourism Awards - and this summer is expected to be the best ever.

“Fisherman’s Walk will be transformed into a vintage village, thanks to Shake & Stir - with artisan vendors, delicious food and drink, classic car and motorcycle displays, and fashion shows for all to enjoy.

“As sponsors, we’re keen for visitors to hop on board our buses and travel to the event in a sustainable way. We know our services will be popular among those wishing to party their time away and enjoy all the beverages on offer.

“We also know that parking is at a premium in the area - and the roads in Southbourne can become extremely congested during the summer months. With this in mind, our M2, 1b, 1c, 33 (Saturday’s only), bus routes all stop at Fisherman’s Walk.

“There is a bus around every five minutes, and our drivers will be ready-and-waiting to transport the thousands of visitors expected to attend over the course of the weekend.

“All single bus fares are capped at £2 which is much less - and more convenient - than parking”

“Many of my colleagues are also looking forward to donning their vintage clothes and making their way by bus to this very special festival.”
