Air Festival 31st Aug to 3rd Sept do more see more bus moreBournemouth Air Festival is back again this year from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September.  The Air Festival has entertained more than 10.5 million people since 2008. Be prepared for 4-days of action and entertainment in the air, on land and at sea! The famous Bournemouth Air Festival is taking place on the beach and town centre of Bournemouth and beyond.

Bournemouth town will be heaving with people celebrating this fantastic weekend so leave the car at home and catch the bus down to the action. No need to worry about parking problems… we have you covered! For only £2 each way, we have a sustainable way of getting you there.

Our m1 and m2 buses run between Poole, Bournemouth, Castlepoint, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Boscombe and Southbourne up to every 4 minutes throughout the day and tickets are available using our morebus app or through contactless payments.

Getting the bus is simple, with our services operating from the following locations to the town centre of Bournemouth:

Travelling from Bournemouth Rail Station

Travelling to and from Bournemouth Rail Station is a 5 to 10-minute bus journey and provides you with a direct link to Bournemouth Air Festival.

When leaving the station via the exit on Platform 3 (facing Asda), simply turn right out of the station, follow the path and the bus stop is the single shelter near the underpass where you can hop on board routes M1,5,5a,6,6a,12,13,17.  Services go from Bournemouth Station every 5 minutes.

Bus stop changes and diversions in Bournemouth

There will be a selection of bus stop changes in the Bournemouth area across the Air Festival to go in line with road closures and the busy nature of the area. Bus stop changes in Bournemouth include:

No change to bus stops in Bournemouth Square however these services will not stop in Westover Road at any time from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September.

Services to Ferndown and Wimborne (33) and Boscombe, Christchurch (33) will pick up and drop off from Westover Road and these services will not stop at stop Y & Z in Gervis Place from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September. 

33 will follow the M2 route until Boscombe Gardens due to the closure of East Cliff and Manor Road from Tuesday 29th August until Monday 4th September.

These services will not be able to service Bournemouth Pier during the days of the air festival.  Customers are advised to use stop P in Gervis Place, or stops in HInton Road, towards Boscombe. Customers are advised to use stop T  or Beacon Road, towards Alum Chine from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September. 

70/80/99   at the time of writing due to anticipated road closures road these buses will not be able to serve Boscombe Pier. 

All other services will serve all stops as normal in the Bournemouth area.
