Extra journeys on m1
We are adding extra journeys to our popular m1 service - between Bournemouth and Poole Bus Station - from this week.
The move - which will see an extra bus leaving Bournemouth at 0705 and arriving in Poole at 0733, and another leaving Bournemouth at 0710 arriving in Poole at 0742 - follows high demand during peak travel times.
From 18th March, there will also be an additional journey leaving Bournemouth Rail Station at 1701, Bournemouth Square at 1712 arriving into Poole Bus Station at 1750.
“We know bus usage in this area is growing, which is a great thing because it’s the perfect solution for combating congestion,” said head of communications, Nikki Honer.
“We’ve listened to customer feedback from research that we carried out in November and these two extra morning journeys should help further improve reliability - ensuring our customers have more space when they travel with us during what is a very busy time.
“This is just one aspect of a range of improvements we’re introducing, to increase frequency and reliability - with more to follow later this year when we announce our Summer timetable in May.”
We have also unveiled our new website, featuring live bus times and journey planning to put passengers in better control of their journeys.
