NEW FOREST BREEZERS

Introducing the newest members of our Breezer family for 2026 - the New Forest Breezers!

They’ll share the same fun, distinctive look and feel as the rest of the Breezer family - designed to sit comfortably within the landscape while remaining easy to spot.  Each bus has been designed to have a main animal feature on the side of it, so each bus livery is slightly different.  Which one is your favourite?  Is it the pony, the highland cow, the pig, the nightjar, or the dragonfly?  Why not see if you can ride on them all.  Several of the buses have coach style seating and tables so you can relax and really make the journey part of a fun day out.

Many of you will be familiar with our routes that head into the New Forest and you will soon be able to ride these buses on our X1, X2 and Bluestar 6 routes.

These will be renumbered as the 81/82 (X1/X2) and 86 (Bluestar 6).

Breezer 81: Bournemouth to Lymington via Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Iford, Christchurch, Somerford, Highcliffe, Barton on Sea, New Milton, Milford on Sea, Everton

Bournemouth

The seaside town with something for everyone, enjoy the stunning beach, take a zip line down from the pier, a gentle stroll through the gardens, a game of crazy golf or catch up on a movie at BH2. From sunny days to rainy days there is never a shortage of entertainment.

Christchurch

Can’t decide between seaside or countryside, historic town or pretty harbour? Christchurch offers the perfect solution with a choice of beaches, nature reserves and heritage sites.

Visit the town where two rivers meet forming its natural quayside harbour. From the Quay, wander into the town to explore the historic priory, mill and castle ruins. Its cobbled high street is lined with independent shops and cafés, adding to the town’s traditional English character.

Highcliffe

Highcliffe offers dramatic cliff top views and a quiet sand and shingle beach which is just a stroll away from the historic Highcliffe Castle.

Barton-on-Sea

Enjoy glorious cliff-top walks with views of the Isle of Wight or enjoy many of the green spaces to relax and connect with nature.  Barton on Sea beauty spots include the cliff tops with a breath-taking sweep of coastal scenery stretching from Milford-on-Sea to Hurst Castle and the Isle of Wight. You will also find many cafes and restaurants for some delightful refreshments.

New Milton

New Milton is a small market town which dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, situated on the edge of the forest.  It offers both seaside charm and woodland beauty – something to satisfy everyone and in our opinion, worth a visit.

Milford-on-Sea

A traditional seaside village that visitors love to return to. There are so many places to enjoy fine food and drink.  From fine dining to cafes with seaside views. You will find that Milford on Sea offers the ideal mix of action, scenery and seaside charm.

Lymington

Lymington is a bustling and lively pretty Georgian town overlooking the south coast of Hampshire, it is the largest town in the region.  Every Saturday you will find a bustling market, with many local products on sale.

During the summer you can also enjoy their sea water baths which are open from April to September.

Lyndhurst

Known as the ‘capital’ of the New Forest, Lyndhurst is surrounded by ancient woodland and is the perfect base for exploring scenic trails and spotting local wildlife including the famous New Forest ponies. A popular spot for visitors is Bolton’s Bench, an elevated viewpoint which offers fantastic views of the landscape.

Along the high street, you can enjoy quaint shops and traditional pubs.

You can learn more about the history of the New Forest in the heritage centre and pick up any information about the area.

Brockenhurst

Entirely surrounded by Forest, you can often spot donkeys and New Forest ponies wandering into the village, often poking their heads into local shops. It has a wonderful high street full of shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants.

Brockenhurst is also the starting point for a network of footpaths and cycle trails – you can hire bikes from Cyclexperience, beside the rail station.

Ashurst

A picturesque village perched on the edge of the National Park on the outskirts of Southampton.  It is known as the gateway to the New Forest.  You can enjoy some great woodland walks from here, where you can spot much of the local wildlife.

Southampton

A lively vibrant city, with strong maritime heritage and a fresh cosmopolitan spirit. Southampton is fantastic for shopping, and the Mayflower is a real treat for theatre goers. You can easily access the Red Funnel ferries to the Isle of Wight from here.
