Wallisdown Road closure from 10th October

Due to the closure of Wallisdown Road between Wallisdown Roundabout and Canford Avenue, our routes 6 and 6a towards Bearwood/Wimborne and 14 towards Poole and school routes 425 and 450 towards school and college route 702 towards college will be diverting from the 10th October for up to 10 weeks.

While routes 15, 16, 17, U2 and X6 won't be affected by the road closure, they will be subject to delays across the service due to the nature of the works and traffic using alternative routes. We recommend keeping an eye on our Service Updates while the roadworks are taking place.

Routes 6 & 6a diversion:

Route 6 and 6a will divert towards Bearwood/Wimborne only with services towards Bournemouth unaffected. We will be unable to serve the following stops while the works are taking place:

• Wallisdown Roundabout, Tesco
• Astbury Avenue
• Scott Road
• Benbow Crescent

All services will be diverting via Kinson Road and Canford Avenue where you can use any stops along the diversion. There will also be a temporary bus stop at the end of Canford Avenue for passengers who wish too embark/disembark the service here. Please signal your bus clearly.

Route 14 diversion:

Route 14 will divert towards Poole only with services towards Kinson/Royal Bournemouth Hospital unaffected. We will be unable to serve the following stops while the works are taking place:

• Hood Crescent
• Wallisdown Roundabout, Tesco
• Astbury Avenue
• Scott Road
• Benbow Crescent

All services will be diverting via Canford Avenue where you can use any stops along the diversion. There will also be a temporary bus stop at the end of Canford Avenue for passengers who wish to embark/disembark the service here. Please signal your bus clearly.

Route 14 will not serving Wallisdown Roundabout towards Poole during the works, and so we recommend that if you are unable to walk far, alight the service at Discovery Court and wait for route 6 or 6a towards Bournemouth or route 14 towards Kinson/Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

School route 425 diversion:

Due to the nature of the works, school route 425 will be unable to begin the services towards school from Wallisdown Road, Tesco, and the first stop will instead be on Kinson Road, just around the corner.

This service will divert via Kinson Road and Canford Avenue where you can use any stops along the diversion. There will also be a temporary bus stop at the end of Canford Avenue for passengers who wish too embark the service here. Please signal your bus clearly.

School routes 450 & college route 702 diversion:

Route 450 and 702 will divert towards school on the same diversion as route 6 and 6a as shown above. There will also be a temporary bus stop at the end of Canford Avenue for passengers who wish to embark/disembark the service here. Please signal your bus clearly.
